How CartCited makes money

CartCited is an independent site that compares AI visibility tools and Shopify apps for small online stores. We plan to support it with affiliate commissions. No program is paying us yet.

What that means

When you click certain links and buy a product or start a paid plan, the company may pay us a commission. It can be a one-time fee or a share of payments for a set period. You do not pay more because you used our link. If a vendor offers a referral discount to everyone in a program, we will say so on that page. We are not offering any such discount today.

Tracking IDs are not connected. Every affiliate link on the site is a placeholder that points at the vendor's public page. A purchase through those links does not pay CartCited today. When a program is approved, the address in src/data/affiliates.ts will be replaced with the tracked URL, and this page will say the ID is live.

Links marked as affiliate placeholders

These are the only links that use rel="sponsored nofollow". We have not been accepted into the programs.

  • SE Ranking. Affiliate link placeholder. SE Ranking's program is open to account holders. No tracking ID is connected yet.
  • Semrush. Affiliate link placeholder. Semrush's program runs on Impact and requires approval. No tracking ID is connected yet.
  • Loox. Affiliate link placeholder. Loox publishes a partner program with a revenue share. The percentage is not restated here. No tracking ID is connected yet.
  • Okendo. Affiliate link placeholder. Okendo's partner terms publish a referral fee. No tracking ID is connected yet.

Tools we cover and do not earn from

  • OtterlyAI. Not an affiliate link. OtterlyAI's referral program is limited to agency partners, ambassadors, and friends, and we have not been accepted.
  • Peec AI. Not an affiliate link. Peec AI's referral program is for active customers. We are not customers, so this link cannot pay us.
  • Profound. Not an affiliate link. We have not found a public commission for Profound. The link is a normal link to the vendor.
  • Judge.me. Not an affiliate link. We have not found a public Judge.me affiliate program. This did not change how we describe its price.
  • Yotpo. Not an affiliate link. Yotpo's partner program is built around lead registration, not a tracked content link we are using.

Our rules

  1. Commissions never affect which tools we include or how we describe their prices and limits. No company can pay for a better position.
  2. We say what is hands-on, what is a trial, and what is based on public information. See the methodology.
  3. If a company gives us a free account or anything else of value, we say so on the page about that company. None have done so.
  4. We do not publish fake, bought, or invented reviews, ratings, or test results. That is also the FTC's rule under 16 CFR Part 465.
  5. Vendors may point out factual errors. They cannot approve or edit our content. Corrections are dated in each article's changelog.

The short notice at the top of each article with affiliate links is there on purpose. A disclosure only in a footer or a bio is not enough under the FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255.
