Editorial policy

Ahmed Hasan is the only editor. There is no separate sales desk. A company cannot buy a mention, a position in a table, or a kinder adjective.

Rankings are not for sale

Affiliate relationships are disclosed and then ignored when we decide what to include. If we ever sort a list, the page says the sort (for example, verified entry price). Paying us does not move a row. This is the standard in FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR 255.4, Example 3.

Evidence labels

  • Research-based, not yet tested. The sentence relies on a public page, not on our use of the product.
  • Trial only, with dates. We used a trial and the log says what we saw. We are not using this label yet.
  • Hands-on tested, with dates. The methodology defines the minimum log. We are not using this label yet.

Vendor marketing lines stay attributed. "Omnisend says" is not the same sentence as "we measured."

Reviews of stores, and reviews inside the apps we cover

We do not write fake customer reviews of any product. We also tell store owners not to buy reviews, invent reviewers, or collect reviews only from people they expect to be positive. The FTC's Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule, 16 CFR Part 465, has been in force since October 21, 2024.

Vendor contact

  • Vendors may email hello@cartcited.com to flag a wrong price, a renamed plan, or a broken URL.
  • We check the public page ourselves before we change a number.
  • Vendors do not receive drafts to approve, and they do not get a veto.
  • A free account, gift, or trip would be disclosed on the relevant page. None have been offered or accepted.

Corrections

A meaningful change gets a dated line in that page's changelog and an updated "last updated" date. We do not bump the date for a typo that does not change a fact, and we do not bump it on a schedule with no re-check. Site-wide notes live on the changelog.

Unpublishing

If a vendor removes a plan or a page starts to mislead because the source changed, we update or take the claim down. We would rather show "price not published" than keep a stale dollar figure.

Who we write for

Small US online stores. The publisher lives in Pakistan. That is disclosed on the about page and is not a claim of a US office.
