Best Shopify review apps for small stores, priced by order volume

Research-based, not yet tested

Verdict: On published prices, Judge.me is the plan that does not grow with orders: free for unlimited reviews, or $15 a month for Awesome, which Judge.me says is the most you will ever pay them. Loox Beginner is free only until 500 orders have accumulated after the trial. Okendo's free plan stops at 50 orders a month, then Essential is $19 up to 200 orders. Yotpo's free plan also stops at 50 orders a month, and Starter starts at $15 and scales. Judge.me has no public affiliate program we could find. That did not change this reading, and it is not a verdict about which widget looks better. We have not installed any of the four.

Pricing by monthly orders

Review apps often price on orders, not on a flat seat. A plan that is cheap at 50 orders can be a different product at 1,500. Where a vendor publishes a formula, the cell is our calculation and it says so. Where the vendor only says "starts at" or uses a slider we could not read, the cell says the price is not a fixed published number.

Swipe sideways. Free-plan caps are easy to miss. Read the notes under the table.

Published monthly cost at 50, 200, 500, and 1,500 orders. Checked October 26, 2026. Loox Convert cells are calculated from Loox's published rule, not copied from a price table.
App and plan 50 orders/mo 200 orders/mo 500 orders/mo 1,500 orders/mo
Judge.me Free $0. No order cap stated. $0 $0 $0
Judge.me Awesome $15 $15 $15 $15
Loox Beginner $0 only while the store is still under 500 total orders after the trial. Not a permanent monthly price. Same cap. At 200 orders a month the cap is a few months of orders, not an ongoing rate. Beginner ends once 500 orders have accumulated. Not an ongoing 500-orders-a-month plan. Not available as an ongoing plan at this volume.
Loox Convert $49.99. Inside the first 300 orders. $49.99. Still inside the first 300. $99.99. One extra block of 300. $249.99. Four extra blocks of 300.
Loox unlimited listing $299.99 $299.99 $299.99 $299.99
Okendo Free. Cap is 50 orders/month. Essential $19. Cap is 200 orders/month. Growth $119. Essential stops at 200. Growth $119, which caps at 1,500. The next order needs a top-up or Power.
Yotpo Reviews Free. FAQ cap is 50 orders/month. Not a fixed published price. Starter starts at $15 and scales. Not a fixed published price. Pro starts at $119. Not a fixed published price. Starter is $129 at 1,000 orders, per Yotpo's FAQ.

Loox Convert formula, from Loox's help center: $49.99 for the first 300 monthly orders, then $50 for each additional block of 300, with usage charges capped at $999.99 (6,000 orders). At 500 orders that is $49.99 + $50. At 1,500 orders that is $49.99 + (4 × $50).

Free plans, compared

Judge.me Free is the outlier. The Shopify listing includes unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, the review widget, star rating badge, carousels, Google rich snippets, and a reviews importer. Judge.me's pricing page says $15 a month is the most you can ever pay them, which implies the free plan is not a temporary on-ramp with an order cap. We did not see an order cap on the free plan.

Loox Beginner is free, and the Shopify listing says "up to 500 orders." The help article modified July 16, 2026 is more specific: up to 2,000 review-request emails a month, and up to 500 total orders counted from the end of the trial. After that, Beginner is no longer available and Loox points you to a paid plan. Photo reviews are on Beginner. Video reviews are not. The Convert help table, modified October 18, 2026, is the source for that split.

Okendo Free on the Shopify listing covers up to 50 orders a month, automated review-request emails, a review form, a rewards engine, review displays, Google SEO snippets, review grouping, and moderation. The listing does not say the free plan includes photo or video reviews. We are not adding that feature.

Yotpo Free is $0 up to 50 orders a month, according to Yotpo's pricing FAQ. The FAQ's Free feature list includes automatic review requests, a reviews widget with star ratings, moderation, an SEO page, and an analytics dashboard. Photo and video reviews, and Google Rich Snippets, are described as Starter additions. The pricing cards on the same page also showed higher dollar amounts that change with an order slider. We did not treat the slider's default as the entry price.

Judge.me

Research-based, not yet tested

Two plans. Free, and Awesome at $15 US a month, billed every 30 days. There is no annual plan, according to the help center. Awesome has a 15-day free trial. If you do not downgrade before the trial ends, the $15 charge starts. Awesome adds customization, coupons and referrals, Google Shopping, more widgets, and AI replies, summaries, and translations, as the Shopify listing describes them. The help center says stores billed in another currency see a converted amount.

We have not found a public Judge.me affiliate program. The link below is a normal link. Judge.me's position at the top of the price table is because the published price is flat, not because of a commission. There is no commission.

Loox

Research-based, not yet tested

Beginner is the free plan described above. Convert is $49.99 a month for the first 300 orders in the month, then $50 per additional 300, capped at $999.99. Convert adds video reviews, AI summaries, stories, smart sorting, translations, referrals, syndication to Google, Meta, and TikTok, product grouping, and API access. Convert has a 14-day trial on the help page.

The Shopify App Store listing also shows a plan at $299.99 a month with the lines "unlimited access to all features" and "priority support," plus a 14-day trial. Loox's quota help article still names an Unlimited plan with no usage quota. The listing text we captured did not print the plan's title next to $299.99, so we are calling it the unlimited plan from the help article and the listing's feature line. Check the name in the app's plan screen before you subscribe. At 1,500 orders a month, calculated Convert is $249.99 and the unlimited listing is $299.99, so the flat plan can be the smaller number once Convert's blocks pass it. That crossover is arithmetic, not a recommendation.

Loox's partners page offers a revenue share to agencies, influencers, and app partners. It says "competitive revenue share" and does not print a percentage on that page. The button is an affiliate placeholder with no tracking ID. The percentage is not part of this comparison.

Okendo

Research-based, not yet tested

Okendo's own marketing site prices bundles from an order-volume field, and the dollar amounts did not come through in the page text we read. The Shopify App Store listing does publish four reviews tiers: Free up to 50 orders a month, Essential at $19 a month (or $204 a year) up to 200 orders, Growth at $119 a month (or $1,308 a year) up to 1,500 orders, and Power at $299 a month (or $3,288 a year) up to 3,500 orders. Paid plans list a 14-day trial. Growth adds AI review summaries, AI keywords, TikTok Shop, and a Q&A widget, as the listing writes them. Power adds review campaigns, an advanced CSS editor, email and SMS integrations, advanced reporting, and managed onboarding.

Okendo's pricing FAQ says you can import existing reviews, that you own the reviews, and that going past an order cap means upgrading or buying a one-off top-up. At exactly 1,500 orders, Growth is still the listed plan. At 1,501, it is not, unless you buy a top-up. Okendo's partner terms dated February 17, 2026 set the referral fee at 20% of monthly recurring revenue for 12 months from the first payment after any trial, for a merchant introduced in the last 60 days, paid quarterly, with a $100 minimum. That is why the button is marked as an affiliate link. The fee did not move Okendo's row.

Yotpo

Research-based, not yet tested

Yotpo's FAQ is the part of the pricing page that states entry prices in sentences: Free is $0 up to 50 orders a month. Starter starts at $15 a month and scales with order volume, up to $129 a month at 1,000 orders. Pro starts at $119 a month and scales. Premium and Enterprise are quoted. The visual cards on the same page showed Starter and Pro at higher amounts that depend on the order slider. We are not publishing those card amounts, because we could not tie them to a volume.

So at 200, 500, and 1,500 orders, this page does not invent a Yotpo bill. Use the slider on Yotpo's site and write the number down. Yotpo's partner program works by registering a lead. We are not using it, and the link below is a normal link to the pricing page.

Yotpo Reviews pricing Not an affiliate link. Yotpo's partner program is built around lead registration, not a tracked content link we are using.

Photo and video reviews

  • Judge.me's free listing includes unlimited photo and video reviews.
  • Loox Beginner includes photo reviews. Video reviews start on Convert, according to Loox's plan comparison table.
  • Okendo's free feature list on the Shopify listing does not mention photo or video. Do not assume they are included.
  • Yotpo's FAQ puts photo and video reviews on Starter, not on Free.

We have not loaded the widgets or timed them. "Included" here means "named on the public plan," not "fast."

Google rich snippets and Shopping

  • Judge.me Free, on the Shopify listing: Google rich snippets. Google Shopping is listed on Awesome.
  • Loox Beginner, on the Shopify listing: Google rich snippets and schema. Google, Meta, and TikTok syndication are on Convert.
  • Okendo Free, on the Shopify listing: Google SEO snippets. Okendo's site also says Okendo is a Google partner for Shopping and seller ratings. That is Okendo's statement about the company, not a promise that the free plan syndicates to Shopping.
  • Yotpo's FAQ: Google Rich Snippets are listed with Starter. The Free paragraph does not include them. Google Shopping ads syndication appears in Yotpo's feature table on paid columns. Read the current table before you rely on a cell, because that table is long and plan columns move.

Rich results are Google's decision. An app that outputs review structured data does not guarantee stars in search. Google's own policy is that review markup has to match reviews visible on the page.

Importing reviews, and what not to import

Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, and Yotpo all say you can bring existing reviews across. That is a migration feature. It is not a suggestion to buy a pack of reviews, generate them, or copy reviews from a supplier that your customers did not write.

The FTC's Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule, 16 CFR Part 465, has been in force since October 21, 2024. It bans fake reviews, including reviews of a product the reviewer did not use and reviews written by someone who does not exist. The Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255, also treat review gating as deceptive: do not ask for reviews only from customers you already believe are happy, and stay silent about the rest, without saying so. A coupon for a review can be fine if the offer is open and the review is not required to be positive. Read the offer text in the app before you turn it on. We have not reviewed those email templates ourselves.

Which app for which store

  • You want the lowest published price at any order volume, including photos and video. Judge.me Free, and Awesome at $15 if you need the paid extras. This is the price fact. It is not a design award.
  • You are under a few hundred lifetime orders and want Loox's photo widgets. Beginner is free until the 500-order cap. Know the date you will be pushed to Convert.
  • You are around 200 orders a month and want Okendo's listed tier. Essential at $19, if you stay at or under 200. At 500 orders the listing moves you to Growth at $119.
  • You want Yotpo's stack (loyalty, syndication, a success manager). Price it on Yotpo's slider for your real order count. We are not guessing the middle of that curve.
  • You are choosing because of our commission. Don't. Loox and Okendo are the affiliate placeholders. Judge.me pays us nothing and still has the flat published price.

Frequently asked questions about Shopify review apps

What is the cheapest Shopify review app for a small store?

On published prices checked October 26, 2026, Judge.me is the flat-price outlier: a free plan with unlimited reviews, or the Awesome plan at $15 a month, which Judge.me describes as the most you can pay them. Loox, Okendo, and Yotpo all have free tiers that stop at a small order cap, then charge more as orders grow. This is a price reading, not a hands-on ranking.

Is Loox free?

Loox's Beginner plan is free. Loox's help center says it allows up to 2,000 review-request emails a month and up to 500 total orders after the trial ends. After that cap, Beginner is no longer available. The Convert plan is $49.99 a month for the first 300 monthly orders, then $50 for every additional 300 orders, capped at $999.99. The Shopify listing also shows a $299.99 a month plan described as unlimited access.

Does Judge.me include Google rich snippets on the free plan?

Judge.me's Shopify App Store listing includes Google rich snippets on the free plan. Loox's listing includes Google rich snippets and schema on Beginner. Okendo's listing includes Google SEO snippets on the free plan. Yotpo's own FAQ puts Google Rich Snippets on the Starter plan, not in the Free feature list.

Can I buy reviews or import reviews I do not control?

No. The FTC's Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule bans fake reviews. Import only reviews you can show are real reviews of your products. Do not ask only customers you expect to be positive. All four apps offer some form of import. The import button is not permission to invent reviews.
